Today marks an important day for everyone here at ThinkParametric, as we are finally able to share with you what we have been working on for months. We strongly believe the adoption of new technologies will drive innovation in the Architecture and Building Industry. Currently there exists a huge gap between the speed at which these technologies are being developed and its adoption by firms and educational institutions. Our mission is to help reduce this gap by offering high-quality technology education at scale, being cost effective, easy accessible and viewable from anywhere by anyone.
Although we are just getting started, we are proud of the impact we have had so far. In just over a year, we have served over 120,000 lessons to students and professionals from more than 150 countries all over the world. Including students from universities like Harvard, MIT, Oxford, the Technical University of Delft and the University of Pennsylvania and professionals working at firms like AECOM, Gensler, Grimshaw, Snøhetta and Woods Bagot. Now more than ever we believe we have a shot at disrupting the way people learn and implement technology on their projects.
We are excited to launch ThinkParametric 2.0, a whole revamp of our educational platform becoming the framework for all our future developments. Besides improving the site’s functionality, performance and overall usability, we have invested heavily in two new features; building a Community and a re-organisation of our courses around eight topics called Paths.
Besides a place to watch tutorials, we want to be a place where like-minded professionals share their thoughts, suggestions and ideas with each other. To stimulate this interaction, you will be able to show the skills you’ve learned on your public profile with other people. We’ve also expanded the possibility to discuss about videos in particular or the architectural discourse in general on our public forum.
An organised and clear library is the foundation of our platform and is of vital importance to us. After much thought, we decided to structure all our content around eight topics we like to call “Paths”. We believe these Paths are the main technological directions existing today in the building industry. The goal of a Path is to ease your learning curve as much as possible by taking you step-by-step through a topic you would like to learn, regardless if you are a complete beginner or an expert.
We would like to thank everyone who has supported us since the beginning. Our friends and families, investors, instructors and most importantly our students. Without your support, ThinkParametric would not have been possible. All the positive, inspiring messages we received from all of you kept us going to create something we are passionate about.
